Praise be to Allaah; we seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our own souls and from our bad deeds. Whomsoever Allaah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allah leaves astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (ﷺ) is His slave and Messenger.

Allah (Subhana Wa Ta`Ala) Has Directly
Given Us More Than 100 Instructions Through Al Quran To Live A
Perfect Life
Allah
Almighty’s Infinite Power And Greatness
Allah created the order of the
universe in superb detail to allow man to grasp His greatness. A verse
referring to this order reads,”...so that you might know that Allah has power
over all things and that Allah encompasses all things in His knowledge.” (Holy Qur’an
Chapter, 65:12) Faced with the sublimity of the details of this order, man
becomes in awe, recognizing that Allah’s wisdom, knowledge and might is
infinite.
So expansive is Allah’s knowledge that what for us is “infinite” is in His
Sight already ended. Every event that has taken place since the creation of
time, until deep into eternity, was predetermined and ended in Allah’s Sight.
Man must seek to appreciate the extent of Allah’s knowledge, and reflect to
comprehend His greatness.
Billions of people have appeared on Earth since time immemorial. Therefore,
Allah created billions of pairs of eyes, billions of different fingerprints,
billions of different eye tissues, billions of different types of humans... If
He so willed, He could also create billions more. As stated in the Qur’an,
“...He adds to Creation in any way He wills. Allah has power over all things.”
(Holy Qur’an Chapter, 35:1)
Allah also possesses the power to create many other things beyond our limited
imagination. The entire extent of the treasures Allah has bestowed in this
world for His servants is all within His Sight. He sends down to us only that
which He wills, all within a measure predetermined.
Allah has created many worlds and beings which we cannot see. To better
understand the possibility of the existence of other worlds, we should consider
the following: A picture is two dimensional-width and length.
The world in which we live, however, is 3 dimensional-width, length and
depth-(time can be considered as the 4th dimension). The rest is beyond our
comprehension. However, in the sight of Allah, there are other dimensions.
Angels, for instance, are beings that live in another dimension.
In the Qur’an it is stated that angels can see and hear us from the dimension
and space in which they exist. Furthermore, the two angels, seated on our
either shoulder, each, and at every moment, is recording every word we speak
and every deed we do. Yet, we do not see them. Jinn are also beings of another
dimension, as we are informed by the Qur’an.
They, like us human beings, are also tested, all through their lives, and will
ultimately be brought before judgment by Allah. However, they are possessed of
completely different attributes than humans; their existence is dependent upon
an entirely different system of cause and effect.
These are all facts that deserve careful consideration in order to attain a
better grasp of Allah’s splendid Creation. It is within Allah’s power to create
innumerable new worlds, beings and situations. Furthermore, each is He able to
create with a limitless degree of differentiation. Indeed, in a nature unknown
to us, Allah will create Paradise and Hell.
While systems left to their own in this world tend to age, become corrupted,
and eventually expire, in Paradise, unaffected by the passage of time, nothing
will deteriorate; “rivers of milk whose taste will never change” is an example
which states this feature of Paradise.
The human body too will not degenerate; nor will anything ever age. As is related
in the Qur’an, everyone in Paradise will be of like age, will live together for
all eternity, in the best condition, and without growing older or losing their
beauty. Allah also informs us in the Qur’an that in it will be bursting springs
for us from which to drink. Hell, on the other hand, will be utterly different;
in it, Allah will create unimaginable torment. No one will be able to conceive
the pain of such torment until he experiences it.
On everything in this world, Allah has placed a limit. Everything has a finite
existence. This being the case, in order to comprehend “eternity,” and Allah’s
infinite might, we need to exercise our minds and compare these ideas with
something that is familiar. We can only come to know to the extent that Allah
permits us. Allah, however, is infinite in knowledge.
Let us consider the following example, Allah has created seven basic colors. It
is impossible for us to visualize another color. However, Allah is able to
create more than these basic colors. Although, unless He so wills, we will
never be able to have a grasp that which is beyond what He has willed for us to
know.
All that we have just mentioned belongs to that knowledge that Allah has
allotted us in this world. But, one point deserves particular attention;
because Allah’s power and might is infinite, anything can happen, and at any
time, by His will. Allah’s Messenger, the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) also referred to the eternal power of Allah when he said,
“The seven heavens and the seven Earths are no more in Allah’s Hand than a
mustard seed in the hand of one of you.”
Allah explains the infiniteness of His knowledge in the Qur’an as follows: “If
all the trees on Earth were pens and all the sea, with seven more seas besides,
was ink Allah’s words still would not run dry. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.” (Holy
Qur’an Chapter, 31:27)
In brief, no matter how hard we strive to do so, we cannot possibly come to
grasp the extent of Allah’s knowledge, because it is unlimited.
We can comprehend it only as far as Allah permits us to do so: “Allah, there is
no god but Him, the Living, the Self-Sustaining. He is not subject to
drowsiness or sleep. Everything in the heavens and the Earth belongs to Him.
Who can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before
them and what is behind them but they cannot grasp any of His knowledge save
what He wills.
His Footstool
encompasses the heavens and the Earth and their preservation does not tire Him.
He is the Most High, the Magnificent.” (Holy Qur’an Chapter, 2:255)
Way of Life According to Teachings of Quranic Verses
The Noble Quran is the 4th sacred book of Allah Almighty which provides the complete code for the Muslims to live a good, subdued, abundant and rewarding life. Quran is the book of guidance for all mankind following it is the obedience to the commandments of Allah in this life and to gain salvation in the hereafter. It is the scheme of life for every Muslim and also the “constitution” of the Kingdom of Heaven (Allah Almighty) on Earth.
Everyone can easily understand the teachings of the Quran and follow the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), to the best of his or her ability, assured by Allah Almighty. In the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty says: “On no soul does Allah place a burden greater than it can bear.” (Holy Quran Chapter 2:286)
When we read the Quran we find instructions regarding all aspects of life: political, social, economic, ethical, marital, and many others. These instructions provide us with all the details needed to perform a certain act according to the teachings of the Quran and Allah Almighty. In Noble Quran Allah [Subhnahu Wa Taala] says: “Indeed, there has come to you light and a clear book from Allah; with it Allah guides him who fill follows His pleasure into the ways of safety and brings them out of utter darkness into light by his will and guides them to the right path.” (Holy Quran Chapter, 5: 15- 6)
We will discuss in this article some of the lessons learned from Quranic Verses that can apply to our general life routine and make them our way of life.
Direct Instructions from Allah [Subhnahu Wa Taala]
1. Do not mix the truth with falsehood (Holy Quran Chapter 2:42)
2. Do not confound truth with falsehood [Holy Quran Chapter 2:42]
3. You should enjoin right conduct on others but mend your own ways first. Actions speak louder than words. You must first practice good deeds yourself, then preach [Holy Quran Chapter 2:44]
4. Write down the debt (Holy Quran Chapter 2:282)
5. Do not follow anyone blindly (Holy Quran Chapter 2:170)
6. Grant more time to repay if the debtor is in hard time (Holy Quran Chapter 2:280)
7. Do not follow up what you have given to others to afflict them with reminders of your generosity [Holy Quran Chapter 2:262].
8. Don’t consume interest (Holy Quran Chapter 2:275)
9. Do not break the promise (Holy Quran Chapter 2:177)
10. Keep the trust (Holy Quran Chapter 2:283)
11. Do not spy and backbite (Holy Quran Chapter 2:283)
12. Order righteousness to people only after practicing it yourself (Holy Quran Chapter 2:44)
13. Do not commit abuse on the earth (Holy Quran Chapter 2:60)
14. Do not prevent people from mosques (Holy Quran Chapter 2:114)
15. Fight only with those who fight you (Holy Quran Chapter 2:190)
16. Keep the etiquettes of war (Holy Quran Chapter 2:191)
17. Do not turn back in battle (Holy Quran Chapter 8:15)
18. No compulsion in religion (Holy Quran Chapter 2:256)
19. Believe in all prophets (Holy Quran Chapter 2:285)
20. Do not have sexual intercourse during menstrual period (Holy Quran Chapter 2:222)
21. Breast feed your children for two complete years (Holy Quran Chapter 2:233)
22. Seek your provision only by fair endeavor (An attempt to achieve a goal) [Holy Quran Chapter 29:17, Holy Quran Chapter 2:188]
23. Do not devour the wealth and property of others unjustly, nor bribe the officials or the judges to deprive others of their possessions [Holy Quran Chapter 2:188]
24. Do not engage in bribery (Holy Quran Chapter 2:188)
25. Help those in need by finding them (Holy Quran Chapter 2:273)
26. Do not invalidate charity with reminders (Holy Quran Chapter 2:264)
27. Do not even approach unlawful sexual intercourse (Holy Quran
Chapter 17:32)
28. Choose rulers by their merit (Holy Quran Chapter 2:247)
29. Do not burden a person beyond his scope (Holy Quran Chapter 2:286)
30. Do not be rude in speech (Holy Quran Chapter 3:159)
31. Be good to others (Holy Quran Chapter 4:36)
32. Say with your mouth what is in your heart [Holy Quran Chapter 3:167]
33. If, unintentionally, any misconduct occurs by you, then correct yourself expeditiously [Holy Quran Chapter 3:134].
34. Restrain Anger (Holy Quran Chapter 3:134)
35. Take care of -The needy,-The disabled-Those whose hard earned income is insufficient to meet their needs-And those whose businesses have stalled -And those who have lost their jobs. [Holy Quran Chapter 4:36]
36. Do not enter houses other than your own until you have sought permission; and then greet the inmates and wish them a life of blessing, purity and pleasure [Q Holy Quran Chapter 4:27]
37. Treat kindly -Your parents-Relatives-The orphans-And those who have been left alone in the society [Holy Quran Chapter 4:36]
38. Treat kindly -Your related neighbors, and unrelated neighbors-Companions by your side in public gatherings, or public transportation. [Holy Quran Chapter 4:36]
39. Be generous to the needy wayfarer, the homeless son of the street, and the one who reaches you in a destitute condition [Holy Quran Chapter 4:36]
40. Be nice to people who work under your care. [Holy Quran Chapter 4:36]
41. When you meet each other, offer good wishes and blessings for safety. One who conveys to you a message of safety and security and also when a courteous greeting is offered to you, meet it with a greeting still more courteous or (at least) of equal courtesy [Holy Quran Chapter 4:86]
42. Sit not in the company of those who ridicule Divine Law unless they engage in some other conversation [Holy Quran Chapter 4:140]
43. Do not be jealous of those who are blessed [Holy Quran Chapter 4:54]
44. Judge with justice between people (Holy Quran Chapter 4:58)
45. Stand out firmly for justice (Holy Quran Chapter 4:135)
46. Wealth of the dead should be distributed among his family members (Holy Quran Chapter 4:7)
47. Women also have the right for inheritance (Holy Quran Chapter 4:7)
48. Do not devour the property of orphans (Holy Quran Chapter 4:10)
49. Do not marry those in your blood relation (Holy Quran Chapter 4:23)
50. Family should be led by men (Holy Quran Chapter 4:34)
51. Do not be miserly (Holy Quran Chapter 4:37)
52. Do not keep envy (Holy Quran Chapter 4:54)
53. Do not kill each other (Holy Quran Chapter 4:92)
54. Do not be an advocate for deceit (Holy Quran Chapter 4:105)
55. Pardon gracefully if anyone among you who commits a bad deed out of ignorance, and then repents and amends [Holy Quran Chapter 6:54, Holy Quran Chapter 3:134]
56. Divert and sublimate your anger and potentially virulent emotions to creative energy, and become a source of tranquility (a state of peace and quiet) and comfort to people [Holy Quran Chapter 3:134]
57. Do not be contemptuous or arrogant with people [Holy Quran Chapter 31:18]
58. Speak in a civilized manner in a language that is recognized by the society and is commonly used [Holy Quran Chapter 4:5]
59. When you voice an opinion, be just, even if it is against a relative [Holy Quran Chapter 6:152]
60. Respect and honour all human beings irrespective of their religion, colour, race, sex, language, status, property, birth, profession/job and so on [Holy Quran Chapter 17:70]
61. Choose best words to speak and say them in the best possible way [Holy Quran Chapter 17:53, Q2:83]
62. Do not shout. Speak politely keeping your voice low. [Holy Quran Chapter 31:19]
63. Talk straight, to the point, without any ambiguity or deception [Holy Quran Chapter 33:70]
64. Always speak the truth. Shun words that are deceitful and ostentatious [Holy Quran Chapter 22:30]
65. Do not be a bragging boaster [Holy Quran Chapter 31:18]
66. Do not talk, listen or do anything vain [Holy Quran Chapter 23:3, Holy Quran Chapter 28:55]
67. Do not participate in any paltry. If you pass near a futile play, then pass by with dignity [Holy Quran Chapter 25:72]
68. Do not verge upon any immodesty or lewdness whether surreptitious or overt [Holy Quran Chapter 6:151].
69. Do not walk haughtily or with conceit [Q17:37, Holy Quran Chapter 31:18]
70. Do not follow blindly any information of which you have no direct knowledge. (Using your faculties of perception and conception) you must verify it for yourself. In the Court of your Lord, you will be held accountable for your hearing, sight, and the faculty of reasoning [Holy Quran Chapter 17:36].
71. Be moderate in the pace [Holy Quran Chapter 31:19]
72. Walk with humility and sedateness [Holy Quran Chapter 25:63]
73. Keep your gazes lowered devoid of any lecherous leers and salacious stares [Holy Quran Chapter 24:30-31, Holy Quran Chapter 40:19].
74. If you do not have complete knowledge about anything, better keep your mouth shut. You might think that speaking about something without full knowledge is a trivial matter. But it might have grave consequences [Holy Quran Chapter 24:15-16]
75. When you hear something malicious about someone, keep a favorable view about him/her until you attain full knowledge about the matter. Consider others innocent until they are proven guilty with solid and truthful evidence [Holy Quran Chapter 24:12-13]
76. Ascertain the truth of any news, lest you smite someone in ignorance and afterwards repent of what you did [Holy Quran Chapter 49:6]
77. Never think that you have reached the final stage of knowledge and nobody knows more than yourself. Remember! Above everyone endowed with knowledge is another endowed with more knowledge [Holy Quran Chapter 12:76].
78. Even the Prophet (ﷺ) was asked to keep praying, "O My sustainer! Advance me in knowledge." [Holy Quran Chapter 20:114]
79. The believers are but a single Brotherhood. Live like members of one family, brothers and sisters unto one another [Holy Quran Chapter 49:10].
80. Do not make mockery of others or ridicule others [Holy Quran Chapter 49.11]
81. Do not defame others [Holy Quran Chapter 49:11]
82. Do not insult others by nicknames [Holy Quran Chapter 49:11]
83. Avoid suspicion and guesswork. Suspicion and guesswork might deplete your communal energy [Holy Quran Chapter 49:12]
84. Spy not upon one another [Holy Quran Chapter 49:12]
85. Do not backbite one another [Holy Quran Chapter 49:12]
86. When you enter your own home or the home of somebody else, compliment the inmates [Holy Quran Chapter 24:61]
87. Do not expect a return for your good behavior, not even thanks [Holy Quran Chapter 76:9]
88. Cooperate with one another in good deeds and do not cooperate with others in evil and bad matters [Holy Quran Chapter 5:2]
89. Do no try to impress people on account of self-proclaimed virtues [Holy Quran Chapter 53:32]
90. Correct yourself and your families first [before trying to correct others] [Holy Quran Chapter 66:6]
91. Call people to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful exhortation. Reason with them most decently [Holy Quran Chapter 16:125]
92. Leave to themselves those who do not give any importance to the Divine code and have adopted and consider it as mere play and amusement [Holy Quran Chapter 6:70]
93. In your collective life, make rooms for others [Holy Quran Chapter 58:11]
94. When invited to dine, Go at the appointed time. Do not arrive too early to wait for the preparation of meal or linger after eating to engage in bootless babble. Such things may cause inconvenience to the host [Holy Quran Chapter 33:53]
95. Eat and drink [what is lawful] in moderation [Holy Quran Chapter 7:31].
96. Do not squander your wealth senselessly [Holy Quran Chapter 17:26]
97. Fulfill your promises and commitments [Holy Quran Chapter 17:34]
98. Keep yourself clean, pure [Holy Quran Chapter 9:108, Holy Quran Chapter 4:43, Holy Quran Chapter 5:6].
99. Dress-up in agreeable attire and adorn yourself with exquisite character from inside out [Holy Quran Chapter 7:26]
100. Do not be arrogant (Holy Quran Chapter 7:13)
101. Forgive others for their mistakes (Holy Quran Chapter 7:199)
102. Speak to people mildly (Holy Quran Chapter 20:44)
103. Lower your voice (Holy Quran Chapter 31:19)
104. Do not ridicule others (Holy Quran Chapter 49:11)
105. Be dutiful to parents (Holy Quran Chapter 17:23)
106. Do not say a word of disrespect to parents (Holy Quran Chapter 17:23)

122. ’Having majority’ is not a criterion of truth (Holy Quran Chapter 6:116)

124. Punish for crimes in an exemplary way (Holy Quran Chapter 5:38)
125. Strive against sinful and unlawful acts (Holy Quran Chapter 5:63)
126. Dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine are prohibited (Holy Quran Chapter 5:3)Avoid intoxicants and alcohol (Holy Quran Chapter 5:90)
127. Do not gamble (Holy Quran Chapter 5:90)

145. Invoke not any other god along with Allah (Holy Quran Chapter 28:88)
146. Do not engage in homosexuality (Holy Quran Chapter 29:29)
147. Enjoin right, forbid wrong (Holy Quran Chapter 31:17)
148. Do not walk in insolence through the earth (Holy Quran Chapter 31:18)
149. Women should not display their finery (Holy Quran Chapter 33:33)
150. Allah forgives all sins (Holy Quran Chapter 39:53)
151. Do not despair of the mercy of Allah (Holy Quran Chapter 39:53)
152. Repel evil by good (Holy Quran Chapter 41:34)
153. Decide on affairs by consultation (Holy Quran Chapter 42:38)
154. Most noble of you is the most righteous (Holy Quran Chapter 49:13)
155. No Monasticism in religion (Holy Quran Chapter 57:27)
156. Those who have knowledge will be given a higher degree by Allah (Holy Quran Chapter 58:11)
157. Treat non-Muslims in a kind and fair manner (Holy Quran Chapter 60:8)
158. Save yourself from covetousness (Holy Quran Chapter 64:16)
159. Seek forgiveness of Allah. He is Forgiving and Merciful (Holy Quran Chapter 73:20)
160. Do not repel one who asks (Holy Quran Chapter 93:10)
These were some of the lessons learned from the Holy Quran that we all should implement and follow in our daily life. Islam is the complete code of life which is according to the teachings of the Quran. Quranic verses are the best way of life that we all should learn, understand and implement in our lives. Ameen!
