SATURDAY 6 DHUL QADA 1441 AH AND 27TH JUNE 2020 CE

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah. As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu.
Praise be to Allaah; we seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our own souls and from our bad deeds. Whomsoever Allaah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allaah leaves astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (Sallalhu alaihi Wasalam) is His slave and Messenger.
PREAMBLE
Allah accepts du’aa of His servants at all times and from all places. However, out of His Majesty and His Knowledge, He has favoured certain days, time, places and situations for the acceptance of righteous deeds and supplications. We present such times for the benefit of acceptance of our supplications.
1.0 DURING LAYLAT-UL-QADR (THE NIGHT OF POWER)
This is t e best night throughout a year. Allaah describes it as the Night of Power. "The Night of power is better than a thousand months. Therein come down the angles and the Spirit by Allah's permission on eveiy errand: Peace! This until the rise of mom:' (Q97 [Qadr] The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) said about this night in Ramadan:
"In loses the benefit of it has lost something irreplaceable. (Ahmad)
If you spend the night in sleep or celebration rather than in prayer and supplication, you would have lost something irreplaceable.
2.0 DURING OR FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT
This is a period that begins from shortly before midnight of every day. The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) also said:
"The Gates of Heaven are open at midnight, and caller calls, is there a suppliant that his supplication may may be granted? Is petitioner that his petition may be granted? Is there a distressed person so that his distress my be removed?' At that time no Muslim makes a du'aa' but it's answered except for an Adulteress, who trades, with her body, or a person who amasses his money unlawfully.',' (Saheeh JaamI')
More significant is the last third of the night (from 2.00 am local time). A1laah's Messenger (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said about it
"Our lord descends to the lower Heaven every night when its third part has passed, and declares,’ I am the King, I am the King,! Who is there to invoke me so I grant his supplication, who is there to ask me so I give him, who is there to ask me for forgiveness so I forgive him; It continues like so until dawn comes forth." (Muslim). UNFORTUNATELY MOST OF US ONLY SNORE IN REPLY.
3.0 DURING OR AT THE TIME OF ADHAN AND BETWEEN ADHAN AND LQAMAH.
The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said:
"Two kinds of du'aa' are not rejected or rarely are they rejected du'aa' at the time of the call for prayer, and du'aa' at the time of fighting when warriors are engaged with each other." (Abu Dawud)
He also said:
"A du'aa' between adhan and iqamah is not refused, so make du'aa' at that time." (lbn khuzayrnah)
4.0 URING OR ON FRIDAY AFTER ’ASR
Jumu'ah (Friday) is the best day 0 the week an within it is a period in which Allah does not reject du'aa'. This is the last hour close to sunset on Friday. The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said:
"Friday has twelve periods. Among them is a period when no Muslim asks Allah for anything but grants it to him. Search for that priod late after ‘asr" (Saheeh jami)
5.0 DURING OR AT THE TIME OF RAISING THE HEAD FROM RUKU
At the time of rising up from the ruku’ (bowing in prayer) and saying “Rabbana laka hamd” (O my lord exuberant praise be to you) Rifa’ah bin Rafi (RA) narrated, “One day we were praying behind the Messenger (sallalaahu alayi wa sallam) and when he raised his head from ruku and said: 'Samiallahu liman hamidah' (Allah has heard the one who praised Him) someone behind him said, 'hamdan katheeran tayyiban Mubaraka' (Our Lord, all exuberant praises. pure and blessed be to you.) When the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) finished the prayer he asked; 'Who is this speaker? A man said, 'Me.' The Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) said, 'I saw more than thirty angels rushing to it to write it first “ (Bukhari).
This is the time in salaat that the Prophet (sallalaahu ‘alahi wa sallam) often offer supplication for there need (Qunuut) or rain curses on enemies of Islam.
6.0 DURING PROSTRATION
The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) has said:
"The time when the servant is nearest to his Lord is the time when he is in prostration. Therefore make plenty of du'aa' in it' (Muslim)
7.0 DURING OR IN THE LAST PART OF THE PRAYER AFTER SAYING AS-SALAAT ON PROPHET (IN TASHAHUD).
The Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) heard someone praying. The person praised and glorffied Allah, and said as-salaat on the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam). The Prophet (sallalahu 'alayh wa sallam) said to him,
"Make du'aa' and It will be answered and ask and you will be given."(Nasaai)
8.0 THE DU’AA OF A MUSLIM FOR HIS BROTHER WITHOUT THE LATTER’S KNOWLEDGE.
Abu Al-Darda' (RA) narrated, The Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said:
'The Muslim's prayer for his brother without his knowledge is surely answered. An angel is appointed with such a person ‘whenever he prays for the good of his brother, and the appointed angel says. 'Amin' and for you is the same. "(Muslim).
9.0 ON WAKING UP FROM SLEEP
When one wakes up from his sleep and says; la ilaha ila Allaahu lahul mulk wa lahul hamd wa alakul'shayin qadeer. Subhana ilah wa-hamduililah wa laa ilaha ilia Allaah wa'lIahu akbar wa laa hada wa laa quwata ilia bi'llah al-A!iyyu al-Azeem." (There is no deity worthy of worship but Allah the one without partner. All the kingdom is for Him, all praise be unto Him, the One who has Power overall thing, praise be to Allah, Glory to Allah, there is none worthy of worship but Allah. Allah is the Greatest, there is no power or strength except for that of Allah, the Most I High and Mighty') and then he says, '0 Allah forgive me' or makes du'aa', it wll be granted. If he performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted." (Bukhari)
10.0 SUPPLICATION AT TIMES OF ADVERSITY
Whenever one loses something or someone dear one should pray thus: "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raajun. Allahuma ajirnee fi museebati wakhliflee khayra min'hu" (To Allah we belong, and to Him do we return. 0 Allah, grant me reward in my adversity, and compensate me with that which is better.) The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said:
"No servant suffers an adversity and says (the above words)but Allah will reward him in his adversity, and compensate him with something which is better." (Muslim)
11.0 DU’AA WHEN IT IS RAINING
Rain is a mercy from Allaah, so when it is falling, seize the opportunity and ask Allaah's mercy for your self. The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said:
"Two kinds of du'aa are not rejected: du'aa' at the time of the call to the prayer, and du’aa during rain “(as-Saheehah).
12.0 THE DU’AA OF THE OPPRESSED
The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa salam) said:
“The du’aa of the oppressed is answered even if he is a sinner. The responsibility of the sins is upon him (Saheeh Jaml)
13.0 ON THE DAY OF ARAFAH
This is the best day of the entire year and auspicious moment for supplication. The prophet (sallalaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:
“The best du’aa is the one made on the day of 'Arafah, and the best of what I and the Prophets before me have said is: 'There is none worthy of worship except Allah, the One without partner all the kingdom is for Him all praise be unto Him, and He has power over everything." (Saheeh Jami ')
14.0 DURING (OR JOURNEY MERCIES), SETTING OUT ON A JOURNEY
Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar subhana ladhee sahara lanaa adha wa ma kunna lahu mukrinin wa inn a i1aa Rabbinaa lamunqalibun. AI/aahumma innaa nas'aluka fee safarinaa adhaal birra wa taqwa,wa minal amal ma tardha, Allaahumma hawwin alayna safarana adhaa watwi annaa bu'dahu, Allaahumma anta saahibu fee safarana waf khaieefatu fil ahlee, Allaahumma inni audhu' bika min wa'thai as-safari, wakaabatil monzan. Wasuuil munqalabi feel maali wal-ahli. "
Allaah is Great, Allaah is Great, Allaah is Great. How perfect He is. The one who has placed this (transport) at our service and we ourselves would not have been capable of that. and to our Lord is our final destiny. 0 Allaah, we ask You for goodness and piety in this journey of ours and we ask You for deeds which please You. 0 Allaah facilitate our journey and let us cover it's distance quickly, 0 Allaah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Succassor over he family. 0 Allaah. I seek refuge with You from the difficulties of journey, from having a change of and being in a bad predicament and I seek refuge with You from an ill-fated outcome with wealth and family. (Muslim)
15.0 AID TO YOUR DU’AA
How long do I have to pray?! How harder do I still need to pray for my request to be granted? How is it that only my own requests always have to wait? These are typical passionate questions that often bother our mind especially when we have a pressing need or when our 'bad situation' is about to get worse and divine succour is not as fast as we desire it.
Our requests are like a man and a sword in battle. If the man is strong and skilled but his sword is dull he is rot effective. If his sword is sharp but the man lacks both strength and skill, he remains ineffective in battle. It is only when the man is strong and skilled and wields a sharp sword that he will become an effective soldier, insha Allaah. You are the man and he sword is your du 'aa'. .
Sometimes our apparent unanswered requests are direct result of either our own inadequacies or the inadequacies of our du'aa' itself. Allah says:
"Verify never will Allah change the condition of the people until they change themselves." (Q 13[Ra'd]: II)
The following are some of the measures you need to strengthen both yourself and your dua'aa for acceptance
16.0 DO NOT HURRY THE RESPONSE OF YOUR DU'A
Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said:
"The prayer of one of you is granted if he does not try to hurry Allah's response by saying, 'I asked, but my Lord did not respond. (Bukhari).
This is particularly so when on becomes impatient and begins to lose hope. When the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) was asked about how one tries to hurry Allah's response? He answered,
"To say: " made du'a, made du'a but' don't see it being granted.' And so he gets disappointed and abandons making du'a." (Muslim)
17.0 PURIFY YOUR DU’A FROM WHAT IS SINFUL
Just as the person offering prayer need to be clean of contaminants the contents of his dua'a itself must be purified of sinful requests. Some of these sinful content include such aspects that intend harm to any innocent being or bring destruction to family or property or to sever the ties of kinship. The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said:
"There is no Muslim o earth 'who asks Allaah Almighty for anything, but either He gives it to him, or diverts a like mishap from him provided he does not ask for what is sinful or for the breaking off of relations." A man said. ''Then we will make plenty of du'aa." The Prophet (sallallahu alayhiwa sallam) answered. "Allaah's more bountiful." (Tirmidhi)
18.0 PURIFY YOUR SOURCE, OF LIVELIHOOD"
Eating, drinking or dressing from what is haram (unlawful) could constitute cogs in the acceptance of your du'aa. Sa'd b.Abi Waqqas (RA) said to the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam). "0 Messenger of Allah Ask Allah to make me one whose supplication is heard." At this the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said:
"0 Sa'd, consume lawful things and your supplications will be heard, and by Him in Whose hands is soul of Muhammad, when a man puts into his stomach a morsel of what is forbidden his prayers are not accepted for forty days, and a servant of Allah whose body is nourished by usury (interest) or by what is forbidden becomes more deserving of the Hell fire." (AI-Hafiz b. Marduwiyah)
The Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) also narrated the story of a man who having journeyed far is dishevelled and dusty and who spreads out his bands to the sky (saying): '0 Lord! 0 Lord;' while his food is hataam, his dress isharaam and he has been nourished from 'what isharaam. So how can he be answered?' (Muslim)
The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) explained the un-likelihood that this person's du'aa would be answered, even after fulfilling the apparent factors which aid the du'aa being answered. The apparent factors being: Raisini ones' hands towards the sky to Allaah. The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said about this:
"Indeed your Lord is Alive, Most generous. He feels shy that when his servant raises his bands towards Him, calling upon Him, that He should return him empty. having nothing." (Ahmad)
19.0 CALLING UPON ALLAAH USING THE NAME RABB (LORD).
Calling Allaah by one of His beautiful names is one of the causes for the du'aa to be accepted.
"To Allaah belongs the most beautiful names, so call upon Him by them.• (Q7[A'raf]: I80)
Being a traveller Journeying is often a cause for du'aa to be responded to, because a person feels more in need of Allaah when travelling, than when a person is resident within the security of his home and family.
However, these factors did not bring about anything, because his sources of sustenance were all haraam. Allaah says:
"0 you Messengers! Eat of the good things and do righteous actions." (Q3[Mu'minoon}:51)
20.0 BE RESOLUTE IN MAKING DU’A.
Be clear about what you want from A1laah. If Possible arrange them in their order of priority and mention them to Him repeatedly in your dua'aa. True Allaah knows your needs but He wants you to mention them to Him yourself. So do not say Allaah knows what I want and He will give me when, how and what He wishes. The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said:
When anyone of you make du'aa he should not say. '0 Allah if you wish forgive me. Show mercy upon me if you wish; give me provision if you wish, but he should be resolute in his request because Allah does what He wants; no one can compel Him." (Bukhari)
21.0 QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION
PLACES AND TIMES WHERE DU’AA’ IS ANSWERED
What are the times, places and situations where du’aa’ is answered? And what is meant by the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) “Dabr al-salawaat al-maktoobah (following the prescribed prayers)”? Is the prayer of a father for his child answered, or is it a prayer against him that is answered? I hope you can explain all these matters.
There are many times and places where du’aa’ is answered. There follows a summary thereof:
1 – Laylat al-Qadar. It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “If I know what night is Laylat al-Qadar, what should I say during it?” He said: “Say: Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwan tuhibb ul-‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni (O Allaah, You are forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me).”
2 – Du’aa’ in the depths of the night, the time before dawn, the time when Allaah descends to bestow His bounty upon His slaves, to meet their needs and to relieve their distress, when He says: “Who will call upon Me, that I may answer Him? Who will ask of Me, that I may give him? Who will seek My forgiveness, that I may forgive him?” narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1145.
3 – Following the prescribed prayers. According to the hadeeth of Abu Umaamah, it was said: “O Messenger of Allaah, which du’aa’ is heard?” He said: “In the last third of the night, and following the prescribed prayers.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3499; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.
There was some difference of scholarly opinion concerning the phrase dabr al-salawaat al-maktoobah (“following the prescribed prayers”) – does it mean before the salaam or afterwards?
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah and his student Ibn al-Qayyim were of the view that it is before the salaam. Ibn Taymiyah said: “The word dabr refers to something that is part of a thing, like dabr al-haywaan (the hindquarters of an animal).” Zaad al-Ma’aad, 1.305. Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said: “What has been narrated of du’aa’ following the prayer is before the salaam and what has been narrated of dhikr following the prayer is after the salaam, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“When you have finished As-Salaah (the congregational prayer), remember Allaah standing, sitting down, and (lying down) on your sides”[al-Nisa’ 4:103]. See: Kitaab al-Du’aa’ by Shaykh Muhammad al-Hamad, p. 54
4 – Between the adhaan and the iqaamah. It is narrated in a saheeh report that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “A du’aa’ offered between the adhaan and iqaamah is not rejected.” Narrated by Abu Dawood (521) and al-Tirmidhi (212). See also Saheeh al-Jaami’, 2408.
5 – When the call for the prescribed prayers is given and when the ranks are drawn up for battle, as it says in the marfoo’ hadeeth of Sahl ibn Sa’d: “There are two that will not be rejected, or will rarely be rejected: du’aa’ at the time of the call for prayer and at the time of battle when the fighting begins.” Narrated by Abu Dawood; it is a saheeh report. See Saheeh al-Jaami’, 3079.
6 – When rain falls, as it said in the hadeeth of Sahl ibn Sa’d that is attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “There are two which will not be rejected: du’aa’ at the time of the call (to prayer) and when it is raining.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’ (3078).
7 – At a certain time of the night, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “During the night there is a time when the Muslim does not ask for the good of this world and the Hereafter but it will be given to him, and that happens every night.” Narrated by Muslim, 757.
8 – A certain time on Friday. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) mentioned Friday and said: “During it there is a time when a Muslim slave does not stand and pray and ask Allaah for something, but He will give it to him,” and he gestured with his hand to indicate how short that time is. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 935; Muslim, 852. See also question no. 21748.
9 – When drinking Zamzam water. It was narrated from Jaabir (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Zamzam water is for that for which it is drunk.” Narrated by Ahmad and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 5502.
10 – When prostrating. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The closest that a person is to his Lord is when he is prostrating, so say a great deal of du’aa’ then.” Narrated by Muslim, 482.
11 – When hearing the crowing of a rooster, because of the hadeeth: “When you hear the crowing of a rooster, ask Allaah of His bounty, for he has seen an angel.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2304; Muslim, 2729.
12 – When saying the du’aa’, “Laa ilaaha illa anta, subhaanaka, inni kuntu min al-zaalimeen ([none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allaah)], Glorified (and Exalted) be You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers – cf al-Anbiya’ 21:87]).” It was narrated in a saheeh hadeeth that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The prayer of Dhu’l-Noon (Yoonus) which he said when he was in the belly of the whale: ‘Laa ilaaha illa anta, subhaanaka, inni kuntu min al-zaalimeen ([none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allaah)], Glorified (and Exalted) be You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers.’ No Muslim recites this du’aa’ concerning any matter but Allaah will answer him.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and classed as saheeh in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 3383.
In his commentary on the passage (interpretation of the meaning):
“And (remember) Dhun Noon (Jonah), when he went off in anger, and imagined that We shall not punish him (i.e. the calamities which had befallen him)! But he cried through the darkness (saying): Laa ilaaha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allaah)], Glorified (and Exalted) be You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers.”
88. So We answered his call, and delivered him from the distress. And thus We do deliver the believers (who believe in the Oneness of Allaah, abstain from evil and work righteousness)”[al-Anbiya’ 21:87-88]
Al-Qurtubi said: In this verse, Allaah stipulates that whoever calls upon Him, He will answer him as He answered and saved Dhu’l-Noon (Yoonus). This is what is meant by the words “And thus We do deliver the believers”. Al-Jaami’ li Ahkaam il-Qur’aan, 11/334.
13 – If a calamity befalls him and he says, Inna Lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raaji’oon, Allaahumma ujurni fi museebati w'ukhluf li khayran minha (Truly, to Allaah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return; O Allaah, reward me in this calamity and compensate me with something better than it). It was narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh (918) that Umm Salamah said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “There is no calamity that befalls one of the Muslims and he responds by saying ‘Innaa Lillaahi wa innaa ilahi raaji'oon, Allaahumma ujurni fi museebati w'ukhluf li khayran minha (Truly, to Allaah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return; O Allaah, reward me in this calamity and compensate me with something better than it),’ but Allaah will compensate him with something better than it.”
14 – The prayer of people after the soul of the deceased has been taken. According to the hadeeth, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) entered upon Abu Salamah (after he had died) and his eyes were open. He closed them and said: “When the soul is taken, the gaze follows it.” Some of his family got upset and he said: “Do not pray for anything but good for yourselves, for the angels say Ameen to whatever you say.” Narrated by Muslim. 2732.
15 – Du’aa’ for one who is sick. Muslim (919) narrated that Umm Salamah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When you visit a sick person, say good things, for the angels say Ameen to whatever you say…” When Abu Salamah died, I came to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said: “Abu Salamah has died.” He said: “Say: O Allaah, forgive me and him, and compensate me well.” She said: I said: And Allaah compensated me with one who was better for me than him: Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
16 – The prayer of the one who has been wronged. In the hadeeth it says: “Fear the prayer of the one who has been wronged, for there is no barrier between it and Allaah.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 469; Muslim, 19. And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The prayer of the one who has been wronged will be answered, even if he is an evildoer, for his evildoing is only against himself.” Narrated by Ahmad. See Saheeh al-Jaami’, 3382.
17 – The du’aa’ of a father for his child – i.e., for his benefit – and the du’aa’ of a fasting person during the day of his fast, and the prayer of the traveller. It was narrated in a saheeh report that our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There are three prayers that are not rejected: the prayer of a father for his child, the prayer of the fasting person and the prayer of the traveller.” Narrated by al-Bayhaqi; see Saheeh al-Jaami’, 2032; al-Saheehah, 1797.
18 – The prayer of a father against his child – i.e., to harm him. According to a saheeh hadeeth: ‘There are three prayers that will be answered: the prayer of one who has been wronged, the prayer of a traveller, and the prayer of a father against his child.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1905. See Saheeh al-Adab al-Mufrad, 372.
19 – The du’aa’ of a righteous person for his parents, as stated in the hadeeth narrated by Muslim (1631): “When the son of Adam dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, a righteous son who will pray for him, or beneficial knowledge.”
20 – Du’aa’ after the sun has passed its zenith and before Zuhr. It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn al-Saa’ib (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to pray four rak'ahs after the sun had passed its zenith and before Zuhr, and he said: “This is a time when the gates of heaven are opened and I want a good deed of mine to ascend during this time.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and its isnaad is saheeh. See Takhreej al-Mishkaat, 1/337.
21 – Du’aa’ when getting up from the night (sleep), and saying the du’a that was narrated for that time. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever awakens from the night and says Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay-in qadeer. Subhanallah, wa la ilaha illa Allah wallahu akbar wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa Billaah (There is no god but Allaah Alone, He has no partners, His is the Sovereignty, to Him belongs praise and He is over all things Capable. Glory be to Allah, there is no (true) God but Allah, and Allaah is Most Great and there is no power and no strength except with Allaah), then he says: Allaahumma ighfir li (O Allaah, forgive me), or he makes du’aa’, his prayer will be answered, and if he does wudu and prays, his prayer will be accepted.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1154.
