TO BE DELIVERED ON

15H APRIL 2017 CE AND 18TH RAJAB 1438 AH

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah. As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu. Amma Ba’d.

Praise be to Allaah; we seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our own souls and from our bad deeds. Whomsoever Allaah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allaah leaves astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (Sallalhu alaihi Wasalam) is His slave and Messenger.

THE BELIEFS OF A MUSHRIK SOCIETY AND NULLIFIERS OF ISLAM

We discuss The beliefs of a Mushrik Society and Ten Violations of faith that will nullify one’s faith in Islam.

THE BELIEFS OF A MUSHRIK SOCIETY:

1.      The Arab non-believers had faith in God, but did not accept that He (God) was the sole ruler of the Universe.

2.      The Jews believed in God, but theirs was a family God who created everything for the children of Israel, and then settled down to take a well-earned rest.

3.      The Christians believed in God, but also maintained that after creating Jesus, he handed over the task of salvation, providing for and protecting the human being to him, and thus retired from the concerns of mankind.

4.      The Persians had accepted the existence of two gods who performed their godly tasks together.

5.      The god of the Hindus had managed to splinter himself into many thousands of gods, each with its own scope of work.

6.      Some people believed that God needed assistants and courtiers in order to function efficiently.

7.      Some believed that God had fallen madly in love with his creation and so, like any lover, allowed them to meddle in his affairs.

8.      Others were of the opinion that everything on earth is a part of God Himself.

9.      Yet others said that if God is very pleased with one of His Creatures, He absorbs that person into Himself so that the worshipper is now part of the worshipped.

"If you avoid the great sins which are forbidden to you, We will blot your faults (i.e. the minor sins) and make you enter a noble place’’. (Holy Quran Chapter 4:31).

THE TEN VIOLATIONS OF ISLAM (TEN THINGS WHICH NULLIFY ONE’S ISLAM)

You must be aware that there are matters which nullify (your religion) Islam. There were TEN CASES that will invalidate (quash & overthrow) your faith (Islam) and it has a lot going on and spread out in the middle of the public:

We will mention here the ten most common violations.

Indeed as a Muslim, it is obligatory for him to cling to his religion, by studying, understanding, appreciate and practice it in everyday life.

1)      As a Muslim, Allah Almighty requires for every Muslim to enter Islam as a whole in all aspects, both aspects of aqidah, worship, and morals as in the Al -Quran: ‘’O ye who believe! enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow not the footsteps of the Evil One; for he is to you an avowed enemy. (208) If ye backslide after the clear (signs) have come to you, then know that Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. (Holy Quran Chapter Baqara 2:208/209)’’

2)      Similarly, a Muslim is forbidden for him to turn away from the observance of Allah Almighty and His Messenger (Sal Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), as such it will take him to the misery and sorrow of life in the hereafter, as described in the Quran: "But whosoever turns away from My Message, verily for him is a life narrowed down, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment." (124) He will say: "O my Lord! why hast thou, raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)?" (125) (Allah) will say: "Thus didst thou, when Our Signs came unto thee, disregard them: so wilt thou, this day be disregarded. (Holy Quran Chapter Taha 20:126)’’.

Therefore, a Muslim is required to maintain his religion from anything that would undermine, undo his religion (deen) indirectly without realizing he was doing a major case that has damaged the Islamic faith; could even take it out of the religion of Islam.

If one falls to one of the actions that would damage his faith (Islamic) and could get out of the religion of Islam; and he is obliged to hasten to repent to Allah ('Azza wa Jalla).

The TEN Topics described below nullifies one’s Religion (Islam) include the following:

1.0 Associating partners with Allah (Shirk). Allah, the Most High says: ''Truly, if anyone associates partners with Allah, Allah will forbid him the garden and his abode will be the fire; the wrongdoers will have no helpers.'' calling upon the dead, asking their help, or offering them gifts sacrifices are all forms of Shirk.

Shirk is the mother of all sins, as described in his words in the Holy Quran:

a)      Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with him; but He forgiveth anything, else to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin most heinous indeed. (Holy Quran Chapter Nisai 4:48).

b)      Allaah has forbidden Paradise for the polytheists: -But it has already been revealed to thee, as it was to those before thee― "If thou wert to join (gods with Allah), truly fruitless will be thy work (in life), and thou wilt surely be in the ranks of those who lose (all spiritual good)." (Holy Quran Chapter Zumar 39:65).

c)      Behold, Luqman said to his son admonishing him: "O my son! Join not in worship (others) with Allah: for false worship is indeed the highest wrong-doing." (Holy Quran Chapter Luqman 31:13).

d)      Associating partners with Allah (shirk).  Allah Most High says (in the meaning): -"Truly, whosoever sets up partners with Allah, then Allah has forbidden the Garden for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the wrongdoers there are no helpers." (Holy Quran Chapter Soorah Al-Ma'ida 5:72). Thus, Calling upon the dead, asking their help, or offering them gifts or sacrifices are all forms of shirk.

2.0   Setting up intermediaries between oneself and Allah, making supplication to them, asking their intercession with Allah, and placing one's trust in them is unbelief (Kufr).

Makes/create an intermediary between himself and Allaah - If someone prays and asks through intermediaries and submits to Allaah; likewise the sole trust to other than Allah Almighty; is in a form of Kufr described and illustrated in the Quran:

a)      Is it not to Allah that sincere devotion is due? But those who take for protectors other than Allah (say): "We only serve them in order that they may bring us nearer to Allah." Truly Allah will judge between them in that wherein they differ. But Allah guides not such as are false and ungrateful. (Holy Quran Chapter Zumar 39:3).

b)      Allah Ta'ala did not make between himself and his servant intermediaries in worship to him; for Allah is near, as he had warned in the Quran: When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them); I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me; let them also with a will listen to My call and believe in Me; that they may walk in the right way. (Holy Quran Chapter Baqara 2:186)

3.0   Anyone who does not consider polytheists (Mushrikeen) to be unbelievers, or who has doubts concerning their unbelief, or considers their way to be correct, is himself an unbeliever (Kaafir).

4.0   Anyone who believes any guidance other then the Prophet's guidance to be more perfect, or a decision other then the Prophet's decision to be better, is an unbeliever. This applies to those who prefer the rule of Evil (Taghout) to the Prophet's rule. Some example of this are:

a.      To believe that systems and laws made by human beings are better than the Shariah of Islam; for example that the Islamic system is not suitable for the twentieth century that Islam is the cause of the backwardness of Muslims. Or that Islam is a relationship between Allah and the Muslim. It should not interfere in other aspects of life.

b.      To say that enforcing the punishments prescribed by Allah, such as cutting off hand of a thief or stoning an adulterer, is not suitable in this day and age.

c.      To believe that it is permissible to give a rule from that which Allah did not reveal in Islamic transactions or matters of law, punishments of other affairs. Although one may not believe such rulings to be superior to the Shariah he in effect affirms such a stand by declaring a thing which Allah has totally prohibited, such as adultery, drinking alcohol or usury, to be permissible according to the consensus of Muslims, one who declares such things to be permissible is an unbeliever (Kaafir).

d.      Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire. (3) It is no less than inspiration sent down to him: (Holy Quran Chapter Najim 53:3/4).

Therefore, anyone who doubts the things mentioned above then indeed he had fallen to kufr in the Quran: -

1)      Hast thou not turned thy vision to those who declare that they believe in the revelations that have come to thee and to those before thee? Their (real) wish is to resort together for judgment (in their disputes) to the Evil (Tagut) though they were ordered to reject him. But Satan's wish is to lead them astray far away (from the Right). (Holy Quran Chapter Maida 5:60)

2)      If anyone rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good). (Holy Quran Maida 5:5)

5.0   Anyone who hates any part of what the Messenger of Allah (May Peace and Blessing of Allah be Upon Him) has declared to be lawful has nullified his Islam, even though he may act in accordance with it.

a)      Allah the Most High, says: ''Because they dislike what Allah has revealed, their deeds are brought to nothing.''

b)      In this case, Allah says: But no, by thy Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction. (Holy Quran Chapter Nisai 4:65)

c)      That is because they hate the Revelation of Allah; so He has made their deeds fruitless. (Holy Quran Chapter Muhammad 47:9)

SIGNS OF SOMEONE WHO LOVES GOD’S SHARI'A: -

a)      Submission, surrender and obedience to the command of Allaah and His Messenger.

b)      Makes the Quran and Sunnah as guidance.

c)      Studying and studying religion diligently through various means which allowed the shari'ah.

d)      Putting / prefer the command of Allaah and His Messenger; than any other kind of orders.

e)      Conducting a defense to the Shari'ah of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) when the law is abused, insulted, and degraded by humans.

f)       Hasten to goodness that Allaah commanded.

g)      Honor and glorify the scholars rahimahumullah'.

h)      Love what Allaah loved and hate what God (Ta'ala) hates.

i)       Based on His love for Allah Almighty and hate as well as what Allaah hates.

j)       Adorn yourself with noble Morals and distance itself from immoral reproach.

The signs of someone hated the law of Allaah is the adverse or opposite of the above signs.

6.0   Anyone who ridicules any aspect of the religion of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) or any of its rewards or punishments becomes an unbeliever. Allah the Most High, says: ''Say: Do you ridicule Allah, His revelations and His Messenger? Make no excuse: you have disbelieved after your (profession of) faith.''

Jest against God's law - Whoever jest about anything related to Islam, the Prophet sallahu ' alaihi wa sallam, his reward or punishment then indeed he had fallen to kufr, and this is that which was spoken by Allaah in the Quran meaning: If thou dost question them, they declare (with emphasis): "we were only talking idly and in play." Say: "was it at Allah and His, signs and His Messenger that ye were mocking?" (65) Make ye no excuses: ye have rejected Faith after ye had accepted it. If We pardon some of you We will punish others amongst you, for that they are in sin. (Holy Quran Chapter Tawbah 9:65/66)

7.0   The practice of magic included in this is causing a rift between a husband and wife by turning his love for her into hatred, or tempting a person to do things he dislikes by using magical arts. One who engages in such a thing or is pleased with it is outside the pale of Islam. Allah the Most High, says: ''The two (angels, Harut and Marut) did not teach anyone (magic) without warning them, Indeed, we are a trial; then do not disbelieve.''

ü  Magic is an act of kufr as Allaah says: - They followed what the evil ones gave out (falsely) against the power of Solomon; the blasphemers were not Solomon but the evil ones, teaching men magic and such things as came down at Babylon to the angels Harut, and Marut. But neither of these taught anyone (such things) without saying: "We are only for trial; so do not blaspheme." They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife. But they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's permission. And they learned what harmed them not what profited them. And they knew that the buyers of (magic) would have no share in the happiness of the Hereafter. And vile was the price for which they did sell their souls, if they but knew! (Holy Quran Chapter Baqara 2:102)

ü  In fact, the magic will not earn the victory as the word of Allah, the Exalted:

"Throw that which is in thy right hand: quickly will it swallow up that which they have faked. What they have faked is but a magician's trick: and the magician thrives not, (no matter) where he goes." (Holy Quran Chapter Taha 20:68/69)

8.0   Supporting and aiding polytheists against the Muslims. Allah the Most High, says: ''The one from among you who supports them belongs to them. Truly, Allah does not guide the people who do wrong.''

CONDUCTING DEFENSE ( MUTUAL HELP ) WITH IDOLATERS - Surely you please and help with the polytheists and help them to fight the Muslims, this is what has been described by Allah (Ta'ala) in His words: O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: they are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust. (Holy Quran Chapter Maida 5:51).

Results of this nature are that it helps against the unbelievers to defeat the Muslims, or raised their flag, glorifying their culture and salute and admiration towards them. It is clear to us that these things are acts of Kufr which we are obliged to stay away.

9.0   Anyone who believes that some people are permitted to deviate from the Shariah of Muhammad (PBUH) is an unbeliever by the word of Allah, the Most High: ''If anyone seeks a religion other than al-Islam it will not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he will be among the losers.''

SOMEONE IS OUT OF THE RULE OF LAW- according to the word of God: If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah) never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost. (all spiritual good). (Holy Quran Chapter Imran 3:85)

10.0          To turn completely away from the religion of Allah, neither learning its precepts nor acting upon it. Allah the Most High , says: ''Who does greater wrong than the one who is reminded of the revelations of his Lord and turns away from them. Truly, we shall recompense the guilty,'' and He also says: ''But those who disbelieved turn away from that about which they are warned.'' It makes no difference whether such violations are committed as a joke, in seriousness or out of fear. (except when they are done under compulsion)We seek refuge in Allah from such deeds as entail His wrath and severe punishments.

" And who does greater wrong than he who is reminded of the revelations of his Lord and turns aside therefrom Truly, We shall exact retribution from the guilty." (Holy Quran Soorah As-Sajdah 32:22) and He [swt] also says (what means): "But those who disbelieve turn away from that about which they are warned."
It makes no difference whether such violations are committed as a joke, in seriousness or out of fear, except when done under compulsion (i.e. from threat of loss of life) We seek refuge in Allah from such deeds as entail His wrath and severe punishment. (

CONCLUSION ON TEN NULLIFIERS OF ONE’S ISLAM (DEEN)

The Ten important topics mentioned would nullify or invalidate ones’ Religion without his/her knowledge; highly recommended to keep away or shun them and do not get caught by those major cases that will damage and void  your faith (Islam).

There is no difference, with regard to (committing any of) these nullifiers, between the one who jokes, the one who is serious or the one who does so out of fear.

However, the one who commits them due to being coerced (is excused).
