Points from Khutbah in Arafat by Imam of Baitullah (By Shiekh Sudais) on Hajj

Long khutbah but precious diamond points selected for Dawah to Ummah

KHUTBAH IN SAUDI ARABIA ON THE DAY OF 1438 AH.
Surround yourself with Muslims who practice the Deen. They are your only True Friends in this Life and in the Hereafter.
1)    Not everybody is out there to judge you, there are some who want the best for you and want to help you get into Jannah (Paradise) value them.
2)    Indeed, a friend who doesn't care about your Aakhirah (Hereafter) is not really your friend.
3)    Sometimes the hardest person for you to correct is yourself. There is no shame in being wrong, the shame is in choosing to stay on the wrong path.
4)    Whatever takes you NEAR to Allah, takes you AWAY from Hellfire. Whatever takes you AWAY from Allah, takes you CLOSER to Hellfire.
5)    We all take tomorrow for granted because we believe tomorrow will always be there. Tomorrow may be there, but we may not!
6)    Who said "TOMORROW" is guaranteed? Make the use of "TODAY" that you are blessed with!
7)    Yesterday many thought that they would see today, and today many will think they will see tomorrow.
8)    Death could be tonight, in the next hour, the next second, yet we live as if we still have so many years to live.
9)    You may be rich, famous or have a high status in this Dunyah (World), but to the Angel of Death, you're just another name on the list.
10) Our death and meeting with our Creator is approaching and yet our biggest worry is what are we going to wear tomorrow? Reference to competition
11) One day you'll just be a memory for people, and a lesson to others. Do everything you can to please Allah, be a positive lesson.
12) Just imagine how many people were here with us last year, but are no longer here again! Even our turn is soon approaching. May Allah forgive us and forgive them.
13) We walk with our heads high up in the sky, unaware that one day we'll be trapped 6' Feet under the ground. (Reminder to all of us)
14) You look for the latest fashion and designer clothes, but don't forget O' Son of Adam! You will end up being wrapped up in just a white shroud.
15) Live to please the Creator, not the Creation. If Allah is happy with us, what more can we ask for?
16) It's sad how we only begin to appreciate blessings, either materialistic things or good people; only after we lose them. When it's too late!? Do we really invest to be like them?
17) You wouldn't throw away a diamond to pick up a rock, so in the same way, don't throw away the Akhirah (Paradise) by chasing the Dunyah (worldly).
18) How do you expect to get Al-Jannah (paradise) when you haven't worked for it in Dunyah? That's like expecting to pass an exam you never took a class for.
19) We live in a time where people leave out food in fear of becoming overweight, but cannot leave out sins in fear of Allah!
20) For a believer. — You may be, homeless, unemployed, sick and feel like you have nothing. But you have the one thing that money can't buy: "Allah".
21) Allah (Glorified and Exalted Be He) knows what you want, what you need, what you deserve, at what time & what place, trust Him & His decisions (is best for HIS creation), He knows while you don't.
22) And, make the Qur'an your companion and a part of your life. Don't let yourself become a stranger to it. The Qur'an is like a friend, the longer the friendship lasts the more you will know of its secrets.
REPENT NOW
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلتَّوَّٲبِينَ وَيُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُتَطَهِّرِينَ (٢٢٢)
ُ"Truly, Allah loves those who repent (the prodigal son), and He loves those who cleanse themselves." [Holy Quran Chapter 2:222].
May Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala) purify our hearts. And May peace, mercy and blessings of Allaah be upon our beloved messenger Muhammad ,
May Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala) Grants us All the true Understanding of Islam,
May Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala) help us to do good deeds consistently and give us the ability to act upon the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad ().
Allahumma Ameen.

IS IT TRUE THAT ALLAH WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY ONE'S EXCUSES AFTER 60 YEARS?
There is a Sahih Hadith which claims after 60 years "Allah will not accept the excuse of any person" Sahih al-Bukhari 6419; Volume 8, Book 76, Number 428: Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Allah will not accept the excuse of any person whose instant of death is delayed till he is sixty years of age." Does this mean any dua forgiveness will not be accepted after 60 years?
Possible Answer
This world is for deeds with recompense not necessarily being tied to one's deeds, while the hereafter is a world of recompense and no deeds. The 6419th hadith in Sahih al-Bukhari does not mean that once one reaches 60 years of age, one's repentance will not be accepted; rather, it means that one may not be excused if one claims that one did not have enough time to repent. From Holy Qur'an Chapter 35:37, the wrongdoers will acknowledge their mistakes and will acknowledge that the hereafter is not a place of deeds. They will accordingly ask to be returned to this world so that they can do the the righteous deeds. Allah's response to them is that they were indeed given ample time during their lives:
And they will cry out therein, "Our Lord, remove us; we will do righteousness — other than what we were doing!" But did We not grant you life enough for whoever would remember therein to remember, and the warner had come to you? So taste [the punishment], for there is not for the wrongdoers any helper. — Holy Quran Chapter Surat Fatir 35:37
This hadith does not necessarily define "enough" in the verse above as being 60 years, but states that 60 years is beyond that age where people are considered to have had "enough for whoever would remember therein to remember".
In Fat'h Al-Bari 11/239-240, Imam Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani explained that there is no exact age beyond which one is considered to have had ample time to repent. Most scholars agree that it is the age of maturity, but some consider the age of maturity to be 40 years (e.g., Masrūq, At-Tabari), 46 years (e.g., Ibn 'Abbas, Ibn Mardawaih), 60 years (e.g., 'Umar, Abu Huraira).
In the end, forgiveness comes only from Allah, and the hadith does not restrict Allah's forgiveness to those who are younger than 60 years of age; rather, it states that those who have completed 60 years of age will be given the response in Holy Qur'an Chapter 35:37 that they had enough time to repent during their lifetime.
